Meet Jeanne Bennett.
Her favorite non-World Vision hobby is reading.
Jeanne is married to Barry. Barry is a pastor and director of six drug and alcohol rehab centers. Together they have two children. Their son, David, is married to Jennifer and they have a daughter, Elizabeth. Their son, Jonathan, is married to Carmel and they have two daughters: Brianna and Grace. Jeanne is a retired first grade teacher, a choir director, a VBS director, a member of the Ross County Retired Teacher's Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, Green Township Fire Association, and a retired volunteer EMT. She is a woman of many talents and any time spent conversing with her is time well spent.
Jeanne truly believes that God led her, through many "coincidences," into this ministry. And ever since she has been able to see His hand at work time and time again-- even bringing her to the field in Mexico and Cambodia to see just how He is working there.
Is there a bit of encouragement you could give to other CA's?
Keep going and going and going. Read and re-read "The Hole in Our Gospel" and carry a couple of copies with you to give away (especially to pastors). You will learn as you go, don't hesitate to ask questions. You are awesome. You can do it!
Which scripture/quote gives you encouragement in this ministry?
I love Matthew 35:31-46, Luke 10- 29-37, and Luke 18:18-25-- especially when I'm sharing in churches. But my favorite scripture for my personal ministry is: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." -2 Timothy 1:7
